If you are wondering what a short sale is and why would I need help to sell my home, let me explain. A short sale is when someone sells their home for less than what they have left to pay on the loan for their mortgage. There was a time when anyone needing sale help was relatively unusual, but not anymore. These days we are seeing people in need of help to get out of debt more often. That is because the value of homes has dropped, but the owners need help because they are still left with mortgages for the original value of their home. And that wouldn’t matter if they don’t need to sell.
